DEAL 2012 provides a gateway to the Middle East's multi-billion theme parks industry
International Expo Consults (IEC), organisers of the 2012 Dubai Entertainment Amusement and Leisure (DEAL) Expo, is aiming for the event to capture the potential of the multi-billion dollar theme park and attractions industry in the Middle East and Arabian Gulf.
As evidence of the industry's growth, IEC (a division of UAE's multi-faceted business conglomerate - Falak Holdings) points to research by US based Global Industry Analysts Inc. (GIA) that forecasts the worldwide market to reach US$29.5 billion by the year 2015.
IEC Chairman Abdul Rahman Falaknaz explains that "contracts worth millions of dollars were signed at DEAL 2011 indicating renewed confidence in the region's leisure sector. Now in its 18th edition, DEAL is the only platform in the Middle East for exhibitors in these industries to connect with buyers, for buyers to see and test the latest products and services, and for professionals to share best practice and make new contacts."
DEAL is the Middle East's annual focal point for all stakeholders in the amusement and related industries looking for a successful entry or greater growth in the region's markets.
Last year more than 200 firms drawn from across 30 countries exhibited, while more than 4,000 visitors attended the show.
Recalling the success of last year's show, Amusement Services International (ASI) Managing Director Prakash Vivekanand states "we had a fantastic exhibition. Not only did we sign millions of dollars worth of business but we also received lots of project enquiries that are to be completed within this year.
This is the most important exhibition for us as we are distributors for most of the popular brands here in the Middle East."
DEAL 2011 welcomed some of the amusement industry's leaders, with regional and global names such as ASI, Falgas Industries, Rainbow Productions, Zamperla Middle East and Warehouse of Games.
Brand names on display included SEGA, Triotech, Magnetic Cash, Simuline and Cogan among others industry majors. With last year's show generating a record number of exhibitors and visitors, and most of them pledging to return, DEAL 2012 is expected to witness an even larger gathering of key players and visitors in the amusement industry from the Middle East, African, Mediterranean, and Asian countries.
DEAL 2012 will take place from 17th to 19th April at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
IEC is an internationally recognised trade show management company with an impressive track record of 17 years of operations in the Middle East and Asia Pacific region.
