David Lowe launches DF & B Consulting
Former Genesis Fitness Clubs and Debit Success Chief Executive David Lowe has launched a new management consultancy, DF & B Consulting, that aims to help small and medium sized businesses of all types while specialising in offering a range of specialised services to the fitness, recreation, swim school and wellness sector.
With access to partners with more than 70 years senior management experience in sales, marketing, contract and consumer law, accounting, HR and training, the new consultancy is able to offer a wide range of management consulting services to businesses of all types along with some more specialised services.
Outlining an early success for a fitness industry client, Lowe explains "I have just completed a billing company audit for my first client and found that their billing company had been overcharging them since 2008 ... and (this was) not a 'second tier' provider either, this was one of the 'tier one' billing companies.
"(As a result) the billing company concerned has just agreed to refund my client the overcharges (and I have) one very pleased client.
"Given my background and ability to data mine and unit these companies, this is a great first up result."
Lowe holds a Bachelor of Education, Masters Degree in Business Administration, Masters Degree in Commercial Law and a Graduate Certificate in Corporate Management and by March of 2013 he will have upgraded his MBA to a Doctor of Business Administration.
He has worked at the first level of management for over 25 years and has experience from three start up businesses through to large corporates (Telstra), including 11 years as a chief executive of two highly successful companies, one that he took from a start up to be turning over more that $350 million.
He is well known for his passion, persistence and drive.
Lowe will complete his Doctoral thesis by December 2012 which is the first academic study in Australia into consumer behaviour specific to why people join fitness clubs and why they then maintain their memberships beyond the initial term. As a result of his experience in this Doctoral study, Lowe is very well placed to undertake consumer research on behalf of his clients.
