Darling Quarter playground opens with celebration

A new interactive playground has opened at Darling Quarter in Sydney's Darling Harbour.
Offering more than 4,000 metres2 of play area, the Darling Quarter Playground offers a grand play experience for toddlers and teenagers, with unique water features that entertain with water pumps, a giant scooping wheel, small water locks, switches and water jets customised to work together for the ultimate experience.
Opening day celebrations last Saturday (24th September) began with a festival jam-packed with music, roving acts, entertainers and the first opportunity to check out Sydney CBD's biggest playground and eclectic mix of dining options.
The fun will continue for visitors during the school holidays with an exciting program of family entertainment and musical acts performing on the new community green area beside the playground.
Darling Quarter is a world-class development, a partnership between Lend Lease and Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority and is a true example of social sustainability, regenerating a local area for Sydneysiders and tourists to enjoy day and night.
