Countdown to 2022 National Water Safety Summit

Bringing together people from across all areas of the water safety sector to reflect on progress and explore opportunities to strengthen alignment to the Australian Water Safety Strategy 2030, the 2022 National Water Safety Summit is being held in Sydney next week.

Presented by Royal Life Saving Society - Australia and Surf Life Saving Australia on behalf of the Australian Water Safety Council, the Summit forms part of Australian plans to commemorate the second United Nations declared World Drowning Prevention Day on 25th July 2022.

Aiming to reinforce the collaborative approach to reducing drowning in Australia and provide updates on the implementation of the Australian Water Safety Strategy 2030, each day will include:

  • Plenary sessions with keynote speakers

  • Short presentations designed to stimulate thinking

  • Interactive workshopping and discussions

The National Water Safety Summit 2022 is being held on Thursday 4th and Friday 5th August 2022 at the International Convention Centre (ICC) Sydney.

Next week is busy one for the aquatic industry with the LIWA Aquatics Conference being held in Perth on 1st and 2nd August and the Aquatics and Recreation Victoria 2022 Industry Conference being held from 3rd to 5th August in Melbourne.
