Completion of Western Australian acquisitions sees Viva Leisure network expand to 361 locations
Viva Leisure Limited has advised of the early completion of the acquisition of the final locations in its recently announced Western Australian expansion, with the five locations seeing the group expand to more than 360 premises.
Viva Leisure will now commence the integration and conversion process to the Club Lime brand, which, upon completion, will further cement its position as Australia's largest non-franchised fitness and health club brand, expanding to 123 Club Lime locations.
This remarkable growth underscores Viva Leisure’s journey from just 27 Club Lime operating locations at the time of its ASX-listing in June 2019.
The acquisition sees the group add approximately 10,000 corporate members, increasing numbers of corporate members to over 220,000, an increase of approximately 38,000 members or 21% since 30th June 2023.
Overall, it now has over 395,000 members, an increase of approximately 53,000 members or 15% since 30th June 2023 - meaning almost 2% of Australian adults are members of a Viva Leisure facility.
Commenting on the expansion, Viva Leisure Limited Chief Executive and Managing Director, Harry Konstantinou stated “we are really pleased to successfully complete our strategic Western Australian acquisitions ahead of schedule, significantly enhancing our presence and adding to our growing Viva Leisure community.
“The acquisitions marks an exciting milestone, reflecting our commitment to expanding our footprint and delivering exceptional fitness experiences to more Australians.
“With the integration and conversion of these new locations to the Club Lime brand, we are set to strengthen our position as the leading non-franchised health club brand in Australia.
“This growth journey from our IPO in 2019 underscores the dedication and hard work of our entire team, and we are excited about the continued opportunities ahead for our members, our 200 new team members and our stakeholders."
Originally scheduled for completion before the end of August, the early completion is expected to positively impact Viva Leisure’s FY2025 results.
