Commercial Aquatics to construct resort style pool at Perth’s Outback Splash
Perth’s Outback Splash has announced that work is currently underway on a large resort style pool, called ‘The Lagoon’, which will be the newest addition to the Perth water park, located on the doorstep of the Swan Valley.
Created by Commercial Aquatics - the same team who constructed the pool at Crown Towers - the Lagoon will feature an enormous architecturally designed pool, a swim up island, plenty of shaded areas, a volleyball net, and a shallow beach-style area for younger swimmers and aquatic wheelchairs. Staying true to the venue’s Australian outback identity, it will also feature a large interactive windmill waterplay structure.
The Lagoon which is expected to be completed by Spring 2023, will be surrounded by complementary shade umbrellas, palm trees, deckchairs, lounge areas and cabanas for guests to kick back and relax in. Food and beverages will be easily accessible with a new outlet opening next to the pool, serving hot food and cold drinks.
Director of Perth’s Outback Splash, Paul Woodcock says a pool has been in the long-term vision for many years advising “our guests have been requesting a pool for a long time, so we’re delighted to deliver this concept and transition into the next stage of development.
“Since my family became owners of Perth’s Outback Splash, we have been working hard to constantly enhance the customer experience and provide safe and fun attractions for all ages. In 2014 we opened Splash Island which was for young children, in 2016 Octopus Bay was created for toddlers, and in 2019 our thrilling water slide tower opened which was targeted toward teenagers. The Lagoon will be an oasis for adults to retreat and enjoy.”
Commercial Aquatics Operations Manager, James Nancarrow adds “outside of the project we completed at Crown Towers, I believe this installation will be the best, resort-style pool experience in Western Australia. We are very excited to celebrate the opening of the pool in Spring next year!”
