Club Physical's Richards Named NZ Marketeer of the Year
The Sales and Marketing Institute of New Zealand (SMI) has named Paul Richards, Chief Executive of Auckland's Club Physical, as New Zealand Marketing Professional of the Year.
In making the award, the SMI's judges were impressed by the professionalism of the Club's marketing and its theme which, in one of the promotions reviewed, led to $8,262 being presented to World Vision for their Myanmar relief project.
Having been named Marketing Professional of the Year, Richards stated "we were blown away and in complete surprise in receiving this award. Itâs already had a positive effect on the team and I (and) from now, we are extremely motivated to continuously improve and also to look out for more opportunities to help others including World Vision."
SMI is a non-profit professional organisation for people involved in sales and marketing attracting members from the sectors of management, banking, finance, insurance, training providers, market research, communications and more. The judging of the awards is completed by a peer group of SMI members, sponsors and SMI Board members.
