CLM Auckland Lifeguard team wins Auckland Regional Lifeguard Competition
A CLM Auckland Lifeguard team were the recent winners of the Auckland Regional Lifeguard Competition.
The team, made up of Kirk Olsen and Luisa Denton from Massey Park Pool along with Cameron Lovett and Nicholas Te Puni from Onehunga War Memorial Pool, beat seven other teams in a range of events including rope throw, aquatics quiz, first aid scenario/response and swimming rescues.
The win was the first time in six years that CLM Auckland have won the trophy against YMCA and Auckland Regional Council operated sites.
Commenting on the triumph, CLM Operations Manager Kirsty Knowles stated "this is a great reward and testament to the hard work that these lifeguards put in daily at their facilities, and a great way to contribute to the wider industry."
CLM works in partnership with Auckland Regional Council in operating 10 aquatic facilities throughout the Auckland region to deliver a wide range of quality programmes to the community.
