City of Bayswater approves final stage for Bayswater Waves Aquatic Centre
The City of Bayswater, locared in Perth's north-east, has approved the final stage of a $7.14 million upgrade to the Bayswater Waves Aquatic Centre with refurbishments to include works on the wave pool, lazy river pool as well as alterations to the administration foyer.
The refurbishment is delivering an inclusive facility that will meet the needs of all sections of the community and provide “an enhanced level of recreational pursuits in Embleton.”
Previous upgrades to the facility occurred in three stages and included the refurbishment of the 50m outdoor pool, hydrotherapy area and indoor 25m pool.
A request for tender for the works has been issued and the city will release a report on the tender outcome at an October meeting.
