Christchurch Council releases video on park safety during COVID-19
Christchurch City Council are keen for everyone to be able to enjoy their parks safely and as such has released a video highlighting what is required by Council park visitors during COVID-19.
Park ranger Robbie Hewson advises on issues such as disposing of dog waste and general rubbish at home in the red bin; sticking to local walks close to home; and avoiding touching gates and latches.
Hewson advises to “stay two metres away from anyone not in your bubble and make sure you don’t engage with anyone else’s dogs. Keep your dog on a lead at all times to ensure you stay safe.”
Hewson adds “please take your dog poo and all other rubbish home as don’t want to place staff and their families at risk having to clean up parks unnecessarily.
“During the lockdown please don’t use any playground or fitness related equipment.
“We want everyone in Christchurch to enjoy our parks safely.”
