Changes at Gold Coast Tourism

Following the departure of Pavan Bhatia as Chief Executive of Gold Coast Tourism, tourism and commercial consultant David Ronai will work with chairman Paul Donovan while Gold Coast Tourism searches for a permanent head. Ronai has twice previously been acting Chief Executive at Tourism Queensland and as well as working at Townsville Enterprise and Mackay Tourism.

Speaking of Pavan Bhatia's three years at Gold Coast Tourism, Paul Donovan recently stated "Pavan was instrumental in securing a record funding agreement with Gold Coast City Council and truly changing the fortunes of the destination.

"He helped position the Gold Coast as a truly international destination. We are all sad to see him go."
