Ceramic Solutions shares details of Eltham Leisure Centre installations
Ceramic Solutions have shared details of their role in partnering with Peddle Thorp Architects and Behmer and Wright in the recently completed revamp of the Eltham Leisure Centre in north eastern Melbourne.
The $20.2 million redevelopment of the facility sees it now offer an eight lane 25 metre lap pool; dedicated learn to swim pool with toddler play area; warm water pool; spa, sauna and steam room; a family changing village; dedicated schools/groups change spaces; function and meeting room and aqua group fitness classes.
Ceramic Solutions supplied and installed all tiling for the project including purpose chroma pool tiles from Agrob Buchtal including specialised corner and edge pieces. This ensures a rounded edging on all tiled areas.
To create some contrast within the leisure pool, Ceramic Solutions used plural mosaic tiles for the underwater seating.
In addition, all entrances to the pool incorporated step treads to further increase the slip resistance of the facility.
The team also managed to seamlessly colour match 100 x 100 mm format tiles with mosaic 50 x 50 mm mosaic tiles along the back wall in the colours of light green, teal and blue.
Ceramic Solutions also provided Malmsten lane ropes, flags and starting blocks and Lawson grates which included specialised curved grating.
