Centaman conferences address common leisure industry challenges

Dozens of leisure industry professionals from across Australia will descend on Melbourne and Sydney this week to hear how the latest innovations in leisure management software can streamline administration and improve customers' experiences at leisure centres.

The crowd has been drawn by Centaman's User Group Sessions - popular annual event providing opportunities for attendees to explore software solutions and new technology that support parks, aquatic facilities and fitness centres.

The first of these sessions begins at the Rydges Hotel in St Kilda today (25th August), with a second session at the Rydges Hotel in North Sydney on Thursday 27th August.

Both events feature keynote speaker Nigel Benton, Publisher of Australasian Leisure Management magazine, who will illustrate the importance of raising public profile in his address ‘Why leisure operators need to make the most of the media and digital marketing'.

Centaman General Manager Mike Henton said the events brought professionals facing similar challenges together to focus on upskilling the industry and offering the Australian public a better experience at leisure facilities.

Henton explains “it is important that the people working in Australia's facilities and venues have the best software on offer and know how to make the best use of it.

“When we have run these events in the past, we have found we were able to fill vital knowledge gaps.”

Henton said the user groups were a prime opportunity for leisure industry professionals to keep up with recent advances in technology and new products on offer, as well as discovering the advantages offered by software that simplifies club membership, streamlines entry control and provides secure and easy payment solutions.

He said the events would also feature highlight how Centaman's software products could effectively integrate with leading industry partners such as payment solutions firm EziDebit and email marketing firm WordFly.

Networking was also high on the agenda, with a social prize giving and a subscription to Australasian Leisure Management magazine on offer.

Centaman employs more than 40 employees across offices in Canada, the USA and in Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Auckland, and services over 4,500 users at more than 700 sites in the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, Hong Kong, China and Korea.
