Busy fortnight for Royal ICC
Brisbane’s Royal International Convention Centre (Royal ICC) is preparing for its busiest fortnight so far this year with the upcoming hosting of 10 events in 10 days.
The events, featuring politicians, business experts and car enthusiasts, will be staged at the Royal ICC until 5th May and include the Labour Day Festival on 2nd May, which is expected to attract more than 25,000 people, and the Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC) Federal Budget Breakfast featuring high profile politicians.
Brisbane Showgrounds General Manager of Venue Sales and Marketing Jago Coyle said the huge program of events puts the Royal ICC on the map as a premier Brisbane events precinct, offering exceptional menus and event delivery.
Coyle stated “with 10 events occurring across 10 days our chefs have been busy preparing around 15,000 dishes, many featuring our Royal Queensland Food and Wine Show (RQFWS) award-winning food and wine.
“We are delighted to welcome high profile guests including former Australian Prime Minister John Howard and former Australian Deputy Prime Minister Kim Beazley at the PwC Federal Budget Breakfast.”
Other events included in the bumper fortnight are the Brisbane Girls Grammar School Formal, Car Launch Roadshow and Advance Queensland Innovation and Investment Summit.
The Royal ICC is located 1.5 kilometres from Brisbane’s CBD at the Brisbane Showgrounds, one of the city’s most prominent events precincts.
Since opening in March 2013 the Royal ICC has hosted almost 500 events.
