Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre ranked Number 1 in Australia

The Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) has again been voted Number 1 in the Top 10 convention venues in Australia by influential Management Today Magazine the national journal of the Australian Institute of Management.

This is the second successive year that BCEC has been named Australia's Number 1 Convention Venue by the publication, heading an impressive list with Sydney, Darwin, Perth and Adelaide Centres all ranked among the top five in the nation.

Management Today describes Australia as having some of the best convention venues in the world, underpinning the country's success in bidding for major international conferences.

This latest achievement is one of a number of recent accolades for the AEG Ogden managed Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre including being judged Worldwide Convention Centre Team of the Year by leading international publication Conference & Incentive Travel (C&IT).

As the official venue for the G20 Leaders Summit in Brisbane in 2014, the Centre will become the focus of international attention when it hosts leaders of the world's top economies as well as officials from the United Nations, the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.

BCEC also confirmed its leadership in the area of Social Responsibility, when it again received the national award for Corporate Social Responsibility at the Meetings and Events Australia (MEA) Awards in May again for the second year in succession.

These latest achievements bring the total number of performance related industry awards to 132 for the AEG Ogden managed venue

BCEC General Manager Bob O'Keeffe believes such achievements are an integral part of providing a world class venue, stating "delivering the best possible conference and event experience for clients is fundamental to our success."
