Bokwa set to raise the tempo
New Group Fitness workout Bokwaï¾® made a huge impact with its Australian unveiling at last weekend's Australian Fitness & Health Expo.
Developed over an eight-year period in Los Angeles by international fitness personality Paul Mavi, Bokwaï¾® has its participants draw letters and numbers with their feet while performing an energising cardio workout routine.
Participants of all ages can draw the Bokwaï¾® L, the Bokwaï¾® 3 and the Bokwaï¾® J to energising and popular music, and this universal sign language means that instructors and participants can signal the next move to each other, making the workout a fun group experience that makes children, adults and senior citizens engage and become healthier, more energetic and lose weight while burning up to 1,200 calories per workout.
Participants focus on performing the steps and often time forget that they are working out. Bokwaï¾® steps can be performed at different levels of intensity and difficulty, while participants trace the same letter or number with their feet.
As a result, children and adults of all different fitness levels can participate in the same class.
This arguably makes Bokwaï¾® the first fitness program that parents can do with their children while both are getting a terrific workout.
The workout is suitable for health clubs, studios, and even schools.
As a result of years hands on experience in one of the global trendsetting fitness markets, Mavi developed Bokwaï¾® to provide group fitness instructors with a structured program that will enhance their ability to develop their business while providing participants of any fitness level with a fun, effective and addictive cardio workout program. Mavi's philosophy has been "if you can move, and you can spell, you can Bokwaï¾®."
Launched in the United Kingdom earlier this year, the workout took the country by storm with over 1,000 instructors now offering Bokwaï¾® classes all over the country.
Released at the Australian Fitness & Health Expo, dozens of fitness instructors signed up for certification during the event while Bokwaï¾® expects to certify 200 instructors in Australia and New Zealand in the next month.
