Blaze damages Adventure World's castle
Just days after opening burnt after opening its new new white-knuckle ride The Abyss, Perth theme park Adventure World's iconic castle has suffered $500,000 damage as a result of a fire.
Perth newspaper WA Today reported that a firework was the likely cause for a blaze, which broke out just before midnight after the attraction's Halloween celebrations had ended and guests had left.
The fire destroyed the fibreglass castle, which features in the Adventure World logo and much of its branding, and incurred a damage bill of $500,000, a Fire and Emergency Department spokesman told WA Today.
No one was hurt during the incident.
Adventure World had been hosting the second of three 'Fright Night' events following the opening of the Abyss.
