Live Performance Australia congratulates Australian Labor Party on re-election

Live Performance Australia, the peak body for Australia’s live arts and entertainment industry, has today congratulated the Australian Labor Party on its victory in the Federal election.

LPA Chief Executive Eric Lassen noted “having championed Australian arts and culture in its first term through implementation of the national cultural policy, Revive, we're ready to get to work with the incoming government and new Parliament on programs and policies to build a sustainable, strong and successful live arts and entertainment industry that continues to engage, entertain and enthral audiences locally and globally.

“Live performance brings us together to share stories and experiences while delivering more jobs, increased economic activity, and significant social and cultural benefits.

“It bolsters tourism, hospitality and local businesses, enriching our communities and enhancing Australia’s position on the world stage.

“We're looking forward to the next act.”
