Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope welcomes its 16 millionth guest
Blacktown City Council has advised that its popular Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope has welcomed its 16 millionth guest.
Local mother Rasthika and her two children Aaliyah and Ariana reached the remarkable milestone when they entered the facility on Thursday 26th May 2022 being greeted by Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope’s senior management team and presented with flowers, a merchandise pack, a Blacktown Leisure Centre gym bag, a free one-year gold membership and a complimentary family swim and tennis court hire pass for her family to enjoy.
Commenting on the Centre’s achievement, Blacktown City Mayor, Tony Bleasdale advised "since opening in February 2003, Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope has been a huge hit with the local and regional community.
“The centre offers a vast array of programs and activities and is also home to Dennis Johnson Branch Library and Blacktown Tennis Centre Stanhope.
“It’s great to see Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope reach yet another wonderful milestone with many more to come."
Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope is Blacktown City Council’s flagship leisure facility that has continued to grow and develop and has become a truly valuable asset for Western Sydney.
Blacktown City Council and Volleyball NSW have also announced that a beach volleyball complex will be constructed at the Glenwood Reserve Glenwood.
The Council will deliver the facility after successfully receiving funding as part of the NSW Office of Sport’s Greater Cities Sport Facility Fund.
