Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope reaches 12 million visitors landmark

Thursday 2nd February 2017 marked a significant occasion for Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope with the facility welcoming its 12 millionth visitor since its 2003 opening.

Jill Franco, a member at the facility, became its 12 millionth visitor when she walked through the doors for her regular 10:30am BodyPump class.

Her visit has seen Franco receive a 12 month silver membership for herself and a six month silver membership for her partner or a friend.

The silver membership at Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope offers unlimited use of the fully equipped gym, unlimited access to all dry Group Fitness Classes, as well as personalised fitness assessments and programs.

In addition, Franco’s two daughters will also receive a term of tennis lessons at Blacktown Tennis Centre Stanhope.

Mayor of Blacktown City, Councillor Stephen Bali will celebrate the milestone with Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope staff and Franco in a special ceremony at the Centre on Thursday 16th February 2017.

Mayor Bali explained “it’s great to see Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope reach yet another wonderful milestone.

“Jill has been a loyal member of the Centre for many years now, along with her two daughters enrolled in Aqua Learn to Swim at the Centre for four years.

“Blacktown Leisure Centre Stanhope continues to provide the community with a full range of facilities including a wave pool, lap and program pool, spa, sauna and steam room, four court stadium, a gym, aerobics and cycle studios, function room, crèche, café, social lounge, library and more recently a brand new Tennis Centre including 16 plexi-cushion courts.”

Since opening in February 2003, Blacktown Leisure Centre, Stanhope has continued to grow and develop with the community. The addition of Blacktown Tennis Centre Stanhope to the existing Leisure Centre and Library complex means the site now offers 38,000 metre² of sporting, leisure and recreation space for the Blacktown and Western Sydney community.
