Big weekend at Eventing the Future conference
Event industry leaders from Australia and New Zealand are set to share their experiences at the upcoming Eventing The Future Conference.
Keynote presentations will be delivered by Rugby World Cup 2011 Tournament Director Kit O'Connell, 100% Pure NZ Winter Games Chief Executive Arthur Klap and global sponsorship guru Kim Skildum-Reid, Director of Power Sponsorship Australia.
Other recently confirmed speakers include:
• Nigel Sanderson, one of the new breed of social entrepreneurs. Sanderson's company FundraiseOnline, delivers low cost, high value solutions to the not-for-profit sector. Delegates at the conference will be able to learn from Nigel the challenges, risks and potential of using social media in the business world;
• Suzanne Porter, the Chief Executive Taranaki Arts Festival Trust. Porter will review its festivals, considering their significance to New Plymouth's cultural identity. Various strong funding and sponsorship partnerships underpin the success of these events. The importance of developing and securing these lasting partnerships, to make events viable long term will be discussed.
• Richard Brudvik Lindner, Principal of DOT Consulting has dealt with many communications, public policy and marketing issues in his nearly 25 years as a professional communicator, counsellor, product manager and marketer. He will run a workshop bringing his experience working for major companies as the head of communications, working for clients at the top global communications consultancies, and serving as the chief of staff to the president of the worldâs largest independent PR firm.
The Eventing The Future Conference is being held on 9th and 10th August at the Rydges Hotel, Christchurch.
