Belgravia Leisure’s Trust House Recreation Centre secures Recreation Aotearoa award
Masterton’s Trust House Recreation Centre has been named as the best-run swimming pool in New Zealand at Recreation Aotearoa 2020/21 National Awards Ceremony.
The Outstanding Pool Award for the facility - managed by Belgravia Leisure on behalf of Masterton District Council - recognises excellence, innovation and effectiveness in the provision of pool services.
Recreation Aotearoa’ judging of the Awards, took into account the Recreation Centre’s excellent customer service, innovative approach to teaching, access and inclusion, and its success in encouraging members of the local community to participate in learning to swim.
Welcoming the Awards, Centre Manager, Nicola Roud stated “I am so proud of my team and the energy they bring to work every day. This award is reflective of our staff, the great support from Belgravia head office, and our outstanding partners in Masterton District Council.
“We are all truly humbled to be selected as the country’s best-run pool for 2021.”
Masterton Mayor Lyn Patterson paid tribute to the team running the facility, noting “we’re pleased to see the success of Belgravia in its efforts to run our Recreation Centre recognised by Recreation Aotearoa. It’s a credit to the efforts of the team at Belgravia Leisure.”
Mark Blake, General Manager of Belgravia Leisure International, added “I’m extremely proud of Nicola and her team, who are passionate about service delivery and ensuring their customers are happy.”
Belgravia Leisure Chief Executive, Nick Cox concluded “this is a great tribute to Trust House Recreation Centre’s outstanding customer service and their truly innovative programs that reflect the community’s needs. When you visit Trust House you quickly notice that the staff are smiling and enthusiastic, and as a result the customers are happy. We are immensely proud of the team.”
