Belgravia Leisure members experience Biggest Loser Retreat healthy lifestyle program

Through a partnership between Belgravia Leisure and The Biggest Loser Retreat, 22 lucky members from Belgravia managed facilities were sent to the Gold Coast-located health retreat for a week of transformation.

Previously, the 22 Belgravia Leisure managed fitness club facilities had challenged their communities to get moving for 30 days for free and provided the additional incentive to get moving with a chance to win an all expenses paid, week-long stay at the Biggest Loser Retreat. The promotion itself saw over 1,000 people take up the challenge to get moving.

Offered at the Biggest Loser Retreat (the former Golden Door Health Retreat), the program is about developing healthy lifestyle habits, making better choices and achieving positive results through commitment and dedication. The program is all about information sharing, healthy eating, movement and growth.

The lucky winners flew to the Gold Coast retreat for a week of education, exercise and enlightenment. For most, the week proved to be a truly transformational experience.

Among many inspiring accounts of their experiences of the retreat, WaterMarc member Catherine shared a moving account of her experience.

Catherine wrote "I won the competition through WaterMarc with Belgravia.

"My Mum passed away two years ago and I was still grieving the loss and I thought this could be the perfect opportunity to not just lose weight but to help my inner self.

"Here I feel at peace, I feel challenged but I really feel supported. 

"It’s amazing, its life changing (and) I will never experience anything like this again! I feel a weight has been lifted!”

A Belgravia Leisure spokesperson added "Catherine’s is a story we hear again and again and it wonderfully articulates the purpose of Belgravia Leisure managed facilities in their communities."
