Australian Waterslides installs new waterslides for Adelaide's Waterworld

The City of Tea Tree Gully's Waterworld facility has reopened for the summer with two new speed waterslides, supplied by Australian Waterslides and Leisure, adding to its attractions.

Located at Ridgehaven in Adelaide's north-east, the new slides were installed while the facility was closed for the winter and now offer guests a speed slide experience in addition to its heated pools, splash pad, learners pool, shaded areas, café and free barbecue facilities.

Commenting on the installation, Australian Waterslides and Leisure (AWL) Managing Director Annette Matthews states “the slides were a replacement of earlier installed slides and has given a fresh new look to the park.”

In addition, to reduce its environmental impact, Waterworld has introduced reusable cups. They cost just $10 with a free coffee and each time they are used the costs of a medium coffee is reduced by 50 cents.

AWL has also recently installed a new slide at the West Wyalong Swim Centre, NSW and has designed a new aquatic facility for the Aboriginal community in Doomadgee in Northern Queensland.

AWL's work has also included the supply and installation of features for the facility.

Matthews currently sees the domestic market for waterslides as “the busiest ever”, advising that AWL is also “designing and supplying waterslides in kit form for the domestic pool market Australia wide.”
