Australian Olympic Committee makes appointment to new Executive Manager role

The Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) had announced the appointment of experienced sports administrator, Ana Croger, to the newly created role of Executive Manager, a strategic advisory role to the President and Chief Executive to ensure the effective management of priorities, relationships and operations of the President’s activities.

Croger’s role will see her support the President’s leadership responsibilities, manage high-level communications, and coordinate activities across the various roles and responsibilities which include AOC President, International Olympic Committee Member, Vice President Brisbane 2032 Organising Committee and Executive Member Oceania National Olympic Committee.

In supporting the President, the position will help to maximise the effectiveness of the President and the Chief Executive on the runway to Brisbane 2032 for the benefit of the Olympic Movement.

Croger has previously worked in senior sporting roles providing strategic and governance support at Australian Athletics and Swimming Australia as well to a number of national federations through her role as Senior Advisor at the Australian Sports Commission.

She has also held several non-executive, legal and integrity advisory roles including board roles at Diving Queensland, Easts Rugby Union and St Joseph’s College, Company Secretary positions at TCS Sydney Marathon, Nitro Athletics and the NAB RunWest Festival, General Counsel positions for Nissan Arena and Netball Queensland, as well as working as a state integrity advisor at Football Queensland and a member of the governance committee at Judo Australia.

Croger holds degrees in business, sports administration and law, is a recipient of the Sports Australia women in leadership grant and is a nationally accredited mediator.

In 2022 she was awarded a scholarship from the Australian Olympic Committee to complete an Executive Masters in Sports Management through the University of Ottawa supported by the International Olympic Committee.
