Australasian AMF Bowling centres to adopt Zone Bowling brand
With The Entertainment and Education Group (TEEG) having completed its acquisition of the Ardent Leisure Group's Australian and New Zealand bowling and entertainment business (comprising AMF Bowling, Kingpin and Playtime businesses), each of the AMF venue will be rebranded as Zone Bowling.
The rebranding will see an end to the well known AMF Bowling centres brand in Australia and New Zealand which was once the largest chain of bowling centres in the region, with more than 100 facilities.
TEEG was created in November 2017, with leading private equity firm Quadrant backing family entertainment centre operator the Timezone Group “to accelerate the growth of the business in Australia and across Asia.”
The rebranding to Zone Bowling aligns the bowling business with the Timezone business with plans to improve the experience for all customers.
Last year Quadrant also created the Fitness and Lifestyle Group with the acquisition of the Goodlife Health Clubs, Fitness First Australia and Jetts brands.
The rebranding does not affect QubicaAMF Australia, which remains the leading distributor of tenpin bowling equipment and supplies in Australia and New Zealand.
QubicaAMF is the organiser of the QubicaAMF Bowling World Cup, the world's largest annual bowling event in terms of the number of participating countries, which promotes the sport on a global level.
