Aussie World launches events to attract peak season visitation
With Queensland’s borders now open to vaccinated interstate visitors, Aussie World will be looking to attract visitors with the hosting two of the Sunshine Coast’s biggest celebrations over the holidays.
The popular Christmas Spectacular will make its return this year and will be followed later in the month by Aussie World’s first ever Ride the Night New Year’s Eve event.
Looking forward to the peak season events, Aussie World Manager, Shannon Fay stated “our school holiday line-up is going to be the perfect way to celebrate the festive season along with the fact the borders are reopening, and interstate travellers can return to Queensland.
“Our kind of fun is for everyone at Aussie World and we are looking forward to welcoming our interstate friends on their long-awaited return to the sunshine state.”
Christmas will come to Aussie World on Saturday 18th December, giving guests the chance to meet Santa and share their Christmas gift wish list.
The event will feature Christmas characters, roving entertainers and dancers, along with live Christmas shows, Christmas lights, falling snowflakes and live entertainment headlined by singer Katie Noonan.
To end the year with a bang, the Ride the Night event will be staged from 5pm on New Year’s Eve (Friday 31st December).
This will be the first time Aussie World has hosted a New Year’s celebration. The event will begin in the theme park, featuring acrobatic roamers, a fireworks display and live music until 9pm.
The party will then move into the Banana Bender Pub, where guests can bring in the new year to 1980s tunes bought to you by a live DJ.
Aussie World and the Banana Bender Pub are open seven days a week all summer.
