AUSactive and OneMusic Australia combine to present webinar for fitness studio operators

Aware that many gym and fitness studio operators and owners may be confused about music licencing, OneMusic Australia and AUSactive are combining to present an online educational session about music licensing in the fitness industry on Wednesday 28th February.

The webinar will look to answer questions such as what is the difference between a music licence and a licence to stream music, explain what a public performance fee is and give an outline of how music licensing works in Australia for businesses.

The hour-long session will see hosts Chantal Brodrick and Jeremy Davidson, OneMusic Australia’s National Licensing Manager - Key Accounts, answer these questions and more while discussing the ins and outs of licensing for fitness businesses.

It will also see Davidson  provide an overview of the music licensing scheme, copyright law in Australia and how a OneMusic licence benefits music creators and businesses.

He will also share some valuable advice on how licences can be customised to specific needs, whether for a small yoga or Pilates studio, or a larger gym with classes and multiple areas.

In addition, for individual instructors, the webinar will explain how licences work in multi-locations, and if the individual needs a licence or whether it may be covered by the location where they operate.

The webinar will finish with some more information on music suppliers, how to curate music and other hot tips, concluding at a fantastic opportunity to address questions in an open and friendly forum about music licensing.

Questions are encouraged and will be answered live.
