ARV to present Australia’s leading state aquatics conference

The upcoming 2016 Aquatics and Recreation Victoria (ARV) industry conference is set to again be Australia’s premier state industry conference presenting unique industry professional development opportunities.

To be held from 24th to 26th August 2016 at the Melbourne Park Function Centre, ARV’s theme for the conference is Turning Challenges into Opportunities.

Features of the program include:

• Three content streams - Strategic, Operational & Aquatic

• Five keynote speakers and 18 concurrent sessions

• A ‘Melbourne Tour’ taking in three of Melbourne’s principal aquatic facilities

• A larger Trade Exhibition with up to 33 trade booths

• Networking Drinks Function

The Conference will showcase a range of high profile speakers and industry specialists and focus on three distinct streams – including a range of relevant strategic, aquatic and current operational matters that will provide delegates with key practical advice and takeaways.

Introducing the event, an ARV spokesperson explains “this broad industry touches all members of the community, involves the building and maintenance of millions of dollars in infrastructure and community assets and provides a significant economic contribution through its multiple employment opportunities and high levels of revenue generation.”

On Wednesday 24th August 2016, prior to the first day of the Conference, ARV will conduct the hugely popular 'Melbourne Tour', which will include site visits to some of Australia’s newest, most impressive and redeveloped aquatic and recreation facilities.

The conference proper kicks off on Thursday 25th August 2016 and concludes mid-afternoon on Friday 26th August 2016. In addition to the various presentations and sessionnal speakers over the two days, ARV will once again be incorporating a boutique trade exhibition involving a range of key industry suppliers and service providers.
