ARV introduces program to advance women in aquatics and recreation
Aquatics and Recreation Victoria has announced the return of its ARV Advancing Women program.
The AFV's flagship program, which focuses on developing female leaders in the industry, enables participants to discover that with the right leadership skills, they can achieve their career goals.
Introducing the program, ARV advise “organisations who sponsor women into the program will discover that supporting women to develop critical leadership skills is one of the solutions to closing their organisational and industry leadership gender gap.”
The four-month program, is delivered in a blended series of online and COVIDSafe face to face workshops by Michelle Redfern of Advancing Women in Business and Sport, in partnership with Leading Now.
The program is backed by international research, is globally recognised and takes a fresh look at leadership by exposing women to the missing piece of the leadership equation.
Participants will:
• Learn to use the greatness in them, to achieve and sustain extraordinary outcomes by engaging the greatness in others
• Develop three crucial skills seldom taught in leadership programs
• Build strategic networks across industry
• Unlock and showcase their own potential
