Arun Madhok named permanent Chief Executive at Suntec Singapore

The Suntec Singapore International Convention & Exhibition Centre has announced that Arun Madhok has been appointed as its new Chief Executive a role he has filled in an acting capacity since the departure of former Chief Executive Pieter Idenburg.

Madhok will be responsible for driving the business and leading the Suntec Singapore team to the next level of service excellence.

Madhok joined Suntec Singapore in 2009 as the Director of Business Development and was promoted to the position of Chief Operating Officer at the beginning of this year.

He has been instrumental in developing the venue's strategy and overseeing the S$180 million (US$142 million) modernisation program that is currently underway. Arun has also spearheaded the review of the venue's operational activities and implemented wide ranging changes, enabling Suntec Singapore to maintain its reputation as a world class venue.

Explaining the appointment, John Lim, Chief Executive of ARA Asset Management, of which Suntec Singapore is a subsidiary stated "Arun has been an constituent partial of Suntec Singapore' s government group over a past few years. His appointment ensures smoothness for a group using one of Singapore's premier addresses for MICE events."

Peter Idenburg has taken on the role of Chief Executive of the Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company (ADNEC Group), owner and operator the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.
