ARTN Annual Convention heads to Outback Queensland
The Australian Regional Tourism Network (ARTN) has announced that the 16th annual Convention will be held in the outback Queensland town of Roma from 25th to 27th October.
Beginning on Tuesday 25th October and continuing throughout the week with keynote speakers, visitor information centres workshops, streams on regional topics and more.
The Convention is sure to provide many educational, informational and networking opportunities for all attendees.
Roma is located 470 kilometres west of Brisbane, is home to 8,090 residents and is famous for its rich and distinguished history in oil and gas and exploration and is the pivotal business centre for much of Queensland’s south west. Roma is often referred to as the 'gateway to the outback'.
The ARTN Convention Committee is collaborating with local groups on key topics and are currently in discussion with Queensland Information Centres Association (QICA) to run visitor centre streams.
The convention provides an opportunity for local councils, visitor information centre management and staff, tourism business owners and local and State tourism bodies to meet to discuss and find solutions on important regional matters.
