Ardent Leisure Group Records Positive Earnings
Ardent Leisure Group says revenue and earnings have rebounded in the September quarter compared to last year.
On Tuesday, Group Chairman Neil Balnaves (pictured) said in a statement "a return to positive like-for-like performance, the impact of new bowling developments and the success of the recent Q Deck and Zest acquisitions ha(ve) delivered strong revenue and earnings results in all operating divisions,"
Revenue from its theme parks division rose 15.6% to $28.41 million for the September quarter against the prior corresponding period, while earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased 14.7% to $10.76 million.
The company's D'Albora Marinas posted a 6.1% rise in revenue compared to the previous corresponding period, the tenpin bowling division recorded a 7.8% increase in turnover and its Goodlife portfolio of health clubs had a 22.6% rise in revenues.
Ardent said the company's Main Event centres in the USA posted an 11.4% rise in revenue to $US11.1 million (AUS$11.26 million) for the September quarter compared to the prior corresponding period, while EBITDA rose 25.6% to $US2.65 million (AUS$2.69 million).
