Ardent Leisure appoints new General Manager Marketing at Dreamworld and SkyPoint
Ardent Leisure has announced the appointment of Philip Hancox as the new General Manager of Marketing and Communications for Gold Coast attractions Dreamworld and SkyPoint.
Hancox, who recently started in the role, is responsible for overseeing the marketing and communications direction for both businesses in the areas of brand strategy, direct and digital marketing, social media, partnerships and loyalty, public relations and internal communications.
As a member of the Executive Team, his role is to provide both businesses with a strategic marketing direction. In the short term the focus will be determining the brand direction for Dreamworld as it embarks on an exciting journey of new developments in rides and attractions.
He is overseeing a team of 17 marketing and communications professionals based at the Dreamworld office in Coomera on the Gold Coast.
Hancox is an experienced marketing leader who has the depth and breadth of experience across multiple industries and markets. With 16 years’ experience in his field, he has worked for both advertising agencies and large retailers across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
His most recent role was Commercial Manager (Youth & Adventure Travel) for Flight Centre Travel Group, where he started as a Marketing Manager in 2009.
