Aquafit generates Australia’s highest Let’s Move For a Better World participation
With over 140,000 participants at 782 clubs across 26 countries involved in Technogym’s Let’s Move For a Better World challenge, this year’s campaign has again allowed an increased number of high performing operators to win and donate a piece of Technogym equipment to a not for profit organisation of their choice.
Running from 13th to 31st March 2017, the event resulted in the generation of 480 million MOVEs (Technogym’s unit of measurement for movement) and saw 200 million calories burned.
In Australia, Aquafit in Campbelltown generated the nation’s highest participation, collecting more than 2.7 million MOVES.
As winner of the challenge, Aquafit donated $15,000 worth of state-of-the-art Technogym equipment to their chosen recipient, local school St Patrick's College.
Commenting on this achievement, Kristen Green, Executive Manager at Aquafit stated “this has been a terrific campaign that we’re very proud to have been involved in for our second year.
“We have seen some great community participation and we’re very happy to be able to donate $15,000 of Technogym equipment to a local high school in our Macarthur community.”
A representative for each of participating facility will get the opportunity to take part to the ‘The Let’s Move for a Better World Conference’ at the Technogym Village, in Cesena (Italy) from 21st to 23rd May.
The conference allows participants to share knowledge on how physical activity can provide a vital contribution to building a more sustainable society based on personal health, and to celebrate the campaign winners during the official award ceremony.
