Aquafit Campbelltown passes 20 year anniversary

Award winning aquatic and fitness centre Aquafit celebrated its 20th anniversary marking the two decades of its operation with a cake cutting ceremony with members and its team on Wednesday 3rd April.

Celebrating the success, longevity and spirit of Aquafit, the event involved five staff members who have been with Aquafit for 20 consecutive years and saw a celebration of 94 Foundation Members who joined the facility in its first month in April 2004.

The ceremony saw Aquafit General Manager, Kristen Green joined by Campbelltown Catholic Club Chief Executive, Michael Lavorato for the cake cutting, with Green expressing heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been part of Aquafit's incredible journey.

Reminising about the early days when Aquafit was just a vision, she praised the loyalty of Aquafit members and the dedication and expertise of its team.

Green’s words reflected the deep sense of pride and appreciation felt by everyone at Aquafit, highlighting how Aquafit stands out as a beacon of excellence in the fitness industry, thanks to its unwavering commitment to members' health and wellbeing, strong sense of community and exceptional team.

A statement on the ceremony advised “as Kristen shared her reflections, it was evident that Aquafit is more than just a gym - it's a family. Our members and staff alike are united by a shared passion for health, wellness, and creating a supportive community.

“The ceremony also provided an opportunity to honour and recognise the team members who have been with Aquafit since its inception. Kristen Green, Mirela Charlton, Maria Bellamy, Rita Goldsmith, Penny Lehtonen, and Tracey Ware - have been with us since day one and have been instrumental in shaping Aquafit's success.

“It was also great to see many of our Foundation Members join us for the occasion. We still have an incredible 94 foundation members here at Aquafit - an achievement that is almost unheard of in the fitness industry. The loyalty of these members speaks to the strong sense of belonging and the fostering of relationships with our members that sets us apart from other gyms.”

The statement added “Aquafit has thrived for 20 years because of the dedication and loyalty of our members and staff, and we look forward to many more years of success and growth together.”
