Anytime Fitness sells 300th franchise territory in Australia
In addition to having just opened their 130th Anytime Fitness club, Australian Master Franchisees Justin McDonell and Jacinta McDonell-Jimenez have now sold their 300th franchise territory.
The brother-sister team are setting a record pace for the world's largest and fastest-growing fitness club chain, matching the group's performance in the USA.
As McDonell-Jimenez explains, "the Anytime Fitness business model offers an amazing balance of lifestyle and a rewarding business.
"Some of our franchisees own as many as nine clubs and still enjoy a great personal lifestyle. This is almost impossible to achieve in other franchise businesses."
Describing their recipe for success, McDonell-Jimenez adds "we look for franchisees who understand the importance of sales and marketing along with an exceptional passion to deliver a great member experience.
"Our most successful franchisees focus on sales and marketing and hire a terrific club manager to produce an ideal club culture. Our clubs offer the members what they need ï¾ great equipment, personal attention, and convenient and affordable facilities, In terms of future expansion, McDonell states "we are currently opening about eight to ten clubs each month. So, it won't be long before we have over 300 clubs open in Australia.
"We believe that we have a further 50-100 clubs that can potentially open, on top of the 300 territories already sold."
There are currently over 100,000 Anytime Fitness members in Australia and that number is expected to exceed 300,000 in the coming years.
In the last twelve months alone, Anytime Fitness has opened nearly 300 clubs worldwide, including gyms in New Zealand, Poland, Mexico, Japan, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands and Qatar.
Entrepreneur ranked Anytime Fitness #11 on its prestigious 'Franchise 500' list and #10 on its list of 'Top Global Franchises''. CNN Money also honored Anytime Fitness as one of '10 great franchise bets'.
Anytime Fitness International Development Vice-President John Kersh concludes "Justin and Jacinta, and the talented team of managers and franchisees that they've assembled, deserve all the credit for their tremendous success.
"Without a doubt, they are our most successful international master franchisees. But what they've accomplished proves that the Anytime Fitness business model can work virtually anywhere on the planet."
