Anytime Fitness open its 150th club in Australia

Anytime Fitness Australia, part of the world's largest 24 hour multisex fitness franchise, have reached a remarkable milestone, with the opening of 150th club.
The club, belonging to franchisee Michael McGrath, open in the northern Sydney suburb of Hornsby on Friday.
A delighted McGrath explained "after owning our own private health club for 10 years, and seeing the change in the fitness industry, we saw the need to innovate and be dynamic in our approach to business to keep our club going.
"My business partners and I saw the Anytime Fitness model and knew straight away that this was the approach we needed not only to ensure our clubs success but also the growth of our business.
"We converted our existing club to an Anytime Fitness and are excited by the outcome, not only has it cemented our club but has also given us the opportunity to grow our organisation with the opening of our fourth club at Hornsby.
"The business model is a great concept and meets the needs of not only the consumer with the flexibility of 24hr and reciprocal access, but also the franchisee with the support systems in place it allows me the flexibility to work on the business and grow my organisation, as opposed to being in the club working in it.
"Anytime Fitness has been a great decision and I'm excited for the future growth of my business".
Justin McDonell and his sister Jacinta McDonell Jimenez launched the highly successful USA franchise into Australia in 2008.
With over 1,850 clubs and 1.4 million members worldwide, since Anytime Fitness's launch into Australia it has become the quickest growing segment of the world's fastest growing fitness chain.
Here there are not only 150 clubs now open, but 350 territories have also been sold. This rapid growth makes Justin and Jacinta the most successful international Anytime Fitness Master Franchisors.
Justin McDonell, says "reaching the 150 mark is a major milestone for us. Our target of having 350 clubs open across all regions of Australia is getting closer every day.
"What sets Anytime Fitness apart from our competitors and is a vital element of our rapid growth is freedom. We offer franchisees the freedom to operate their business to suit their lifestyle, freedom to grow within the system, and the freedom that comes with knowing they have the support, product development and back-up of the world's fastest growing fitness club franchise."
Anytime Fitness truly encompasses the 24/7 mantra which is becoming increasingly prolific within our modern society, allowing its members to work out anytime, anywhere.
2012 will see continued growth and outstanding performance from the hugely successful brand. This success has been further strengthened with the brand being recognised as one of Australia's fastest growing companies by BRW Magazine in their annual Fast Starters list, released last week.
The 2012 BRW Fast Starters issue has listed Anytime Fitness Australia at number 34 in its run down of the 100 fastest growing companies in the country, which is up 12 places from their number 46 ranking in last year's list.
