Al Forsan International Sports Resort hosts growing events portfolio

The Belgravia Leisure International (BLI) managed Al Forsan International Sports Resort is emerging as a significant events destination.

The Abu Dhabi facility has recently played host to major equestrian and cable wakeboarding events.

Equestrian's Global Champion's Tour attracts the world's finest show jumpers and at the final Tour leaders Australian Edwina Tops-Alexander and German Ludger Beerbaum were competing not only for the event win but also for the Tour win.

BLI Chief Executive and avid horse enthusiast Adrian Johnston attended the event, stating that he was also proud to "see an Australian take out the top prizes" with Tops-Alexander finishing first in the event and at the top of the leaders board for the Tour.

The facility has also hosted the WWA Wake Park World Championships. This exciting event was open to professional and amateur athletes who competed across seventeen divisions. Boarders enjoyed the facilities on offer at Al Forsan with the cable area featuring two freshwater cable lakes with clockwise and counter-clockwise full cable systems, a two-tower unit and a first-of-its-kind filtration system keeping the water pure and perfect for boarding all year round.

The resort also recently played host to the Carlton Football Club recently when the Blues visited the United Arab Emirates for a pre-season training camp. Training sessions commenced daily at 6am to beat the heat and were complemented by high altitude training in a special chamber in Qatar.

The team also undertook activities including shooting events in the 25 metre shooting range and paintball dome along with go karting.
