AFC 2012 to feature Yoga workout app

In line with its 2012 theme of 'Inspiration + Passion = Transformation', the Asia Fitness Convention 2012 (AFC 2012) will showcase the Nike Training Club (NTC)'s widely successful app for iPads and iPhones during sessions led by Leah Kim, Nike's Global Yoga Ambassador and Master Trainer.

The creator of 'Dynamic Yoga Workout' and 'Advance Yoga Workout' programs featured in the NTC Yoga app, London-based Leah Kim will bring years of dedicated Yoga practice, study and training to teach sessions at the AFC 2012.

Kim's AFC 2012 sessions will include 'Nike Training Club Yoga', 'Vinyasa Flow - Hip and Heart-opening', and ' Advanced Vinyasa Flow Arm, Balances, Core and Inversions', that calm both the mind and emotions while awakening the spirit and celebrate the mysteriously powerful breath that weaves itself through the movements.

AFC 2012, co-organized by Kenes Asia (Thailand) Co., Ltd. and Fitness Innovations (Thailand) Ltd., is neing held during from 19th to 21st October 2012 at the Dusit Thani Hotel, Pattaya.

In 2011, over 600 fitness and health enthusiasts and professionals converged from all over the world to network, learn and experience the latest exercise equipment and techniques, training trends and nutrition tips.

Other highlights of AFC 2012 will include the Asian debut of Parkour (or free running), a training method for the body and mind which focuses on rational movement in both the natural and urban environments by moving around obstacles with speed and efficiency, Physique 57, an innovative workout program that combines isometric exercises and orthopedic stretches to systematically lengthen and sculpt muscles in order to create a beautiful, lean body, and the first-ever Fitness Idol Contest, a competition for delegates with a chance to be "discovered" as a future presenter of AFC 2013.

The event organisers are committed to developing the Asian fitness industry by improving standards and enabling professional development in individuals and organisations.

The Asia Fitness Convention:
