45-metre suspended ladder and zip line attraction opened at Saudi Arabia’s AlUla heritage site

Saudi Arabia’s AlUla region has opened the ‘The AlUla Stairway‘ a first of its kind attraction in the Arabian Gulf featuring a 45-metre suspended ladder and zipline.

The ladder allows guest to climb up to one of AlUla’s mountain tops, secured by a safety system. Once at the top, the climber can descend to the canyon below with a 150-metre zipline.

AlUla is a prominent heritage site with over 200,000 years of history, that is home to some of the world’s most ancient cultural sites, sandstone mountains and oases

The attraction is a one-hour experience with a minimum age requirement of 12 years. Height and weight restrictions also apply, the participant needs to be a minimum of 110cm tall and a maximum weight of 100 kilograms.

To undertake the experience, guests should wear comfortable outdoor clothing with closed-toe walking shoes or boots while long hair should be tied back.

AlUla welcomed the second edition of its AlUla Arts Festival back in February and recently saw singers Seal and Alicia Keys perform at the largest mirrored building, Maraya.
