2017 NZ Fitness Expo moves to October dates

Having previously been held in the middle of the year, the NZ Fitness Expo, New Zealand’s leading fitness and health exhibition is moving to new dates - being held on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th October.

The 2017 Expo will follow the Labour Weekend which is a key time when New Zealanders put winter behind them and start to make decisions and set goals to get themselves healthy and active in the lead up to summer. Its also a  time when a number of businesses also launch new product ranges, with the Expo presenting a really opportune time to get their products in front of fitness consumers and to maximise both pre-summer sales as well as taking advantage of early Christmas sales.

Another change will see the event rebranded as the NZ Fitness & Health Expo.

Commenting on the changes, Event Director Jono Ridler explained “to reflect the ongoing development of the Expo we’ve also updated the name.

“The purpose of this is to better reflect what the Expo is about, what is showcased and where it is heading while being inclusive of people of all ages and stages of their fitness journey wanting to find out more”.

Looking towards the new October dates, the 2017 show features an extensive range of products and services to help visitors make informed decisions about their health and wellness as well as the chance to sample and buy products that will help them on their fitness journey.

Ridler added “the NZ Fitness & Health Expo attracted 9,000+ health & fitness conscious visitors in 2016 who came to see, feel, touch and experience a range of products and services that the New Zealand health and fitness industry has to offer.

“Visitors want to make positive changes and the show enables them to get the information and motivation to be more active and live a healthier lifestyle.

“There’s a number of businesses returning in 2017 as well as an exciting number of new businesses wanting to get their brand or products in front of their key target audience and this is the event to do it and get that face-to-face engagement”.

Being held at Auckland’s ASB Showgrounds over two days, the show will also showcase a number of exciting and awe-inspiring championships as well as provide educational free seminars offering health and nutrition advice, exercise tips and much more from renowned industry experts.

Also planned for 2017:
Fitness Classes
This year visitors will have the opportunity to take part in fitness classes at the show, giving them a perfect opportunity to trial something new or take part in a programme they may have felt too shy to walk in to a fitness centre to try.

Industry Hub
The Industry Hub is back offering a range of different industry related products and services to help the New Zealand health and fitness industry operate their business professionally and effectively. From equipment to technology, accessories and payment solutions, this area is dedicated to anyone working or owning a business in this industry.
