2017 ASCTA Convention to plot paths to the 2018 Commonwealth Games

The Australian Swimming Coaches and Teachers Association has confirmed its asctaCONVENTION 2017 will again be held at the Sofitel Gold Coast from 26th April to 4th May 2017.

Traditionally the pinnacle event in the swim coaching and teaching industry, the Cconvention will be presenting an engaging program complemented with a world-class line up of presenters to be announced over the coming months.

Announcing the event, ASCTA Chief Executive David Speechley said the 2017 Convention “will have particular focus on swim coaching, swim and water safety teachers and swim school excellence (as well as) perennial favourites including the full suite of accreditation courses, presenters and industry characters.”

In line with ASCTA’s digitisation and technological integration objectives, the asctaCONVENTION 2017 will see the continuation of the live streaming of key lectures and practical sessions including the use of underwater cameras and overhead drones.

ASCTA members will also be able to view a number of Convention sessions through the asctaME portal while the asctaCONVENTION App again offer access to a broad range of Convention features.

Furthermore, in the lead up to the 2018 Commonwealth Games ASCTA will be offering attendees the chance tour Games facilities as well as too other unique opportunities: a swim school tour to extract and share knowledge from leading schools and a session with a leading coach from a podium program.

Among the many other new and exciting events and features yet to be announced, lunch for all delegates and free Wi-Fi will both return to asctaCONVENTION 2017.
