2015 BOMNet Conference to share performing arts centre box office practice

Over one and a half days the inaugural BOMnet Queensland/Northern Territory Conference will provide a unique opportunity for Queensland and Northern Territory performing arts centre box office and marketing managers and staff to gather with industry colleagues and share ideas, policies and practice for the betterment of the arts sector as a whole and keep up-to-date with the latest ticketing, CRM and event trends and technologies on display by some of Australia's leading vendors at the trade display.

Being held on 16th and 17th February at The Empire Theatre, Toowomba the event offers valuable networking and learning opportunities for delegates, vendors and industry, strenthening existing relationships and building new ones.

The BOMnet QLD/NT Conference aims to uphold the principles of best-practice sector development established over a decade through the Northern Australian Regional Performing Arts Centres Association (NARPACA)’s Ticketing Professionals Conference – but on a smaller scale focusing on the needs of box office and marketing staff, predominantly from NARPACA member-venues, but also from venues across Australia.

2015 Program highlights:

• Angela Gahan (AG Ticketing) will deliver the keynote address, sharing insights into the ticketing strategy for the current Australian seasons of Disney's The Lion King;
• Suzanne Daley (Live Performance Australia) will shed some light on the ACCC's investigation into price dripping, the reseller market and LPA's Ticketing Attendance and Revenue survey results;
• Kristen Urqhart will explore how 'Data is King' in customer relationship management (CRM) highlighting data segmentation strategies utilised in her role as Marketing Manager, The Arts Centre Melbourne;
• Rob Bare, Founder and Managing Director of multi-award winning agency R&B Creative, will tackle the big questions of Marketing in the Modern Age - is print dead? How do you get cut-through? What's re-marketing all about?

Presentations, group discussions and case studies will be facilitated by national experts on a range of other hot topics including Improving the Promoter Experience, Effective Social Media strategies (venue case studies), Box Office Policies and Procedures, Ticketing Apps and more.

Enta Australasia and Tickets.com are Platinum Sponsors, TicketServ are a Gold Sponsor.
