2014 MCG Open Day to follow AFL Grand Final
The Melbourne Cricket Ground is to host is annual open day on Sunday 28th September, the day after the 2014 AFL Grand Final.
Open for everyone to enjoy, the MCG Open Day is a free event, allowing sports fans to gain rare access to the hallowed turf of the MCG and have a kick-to-kick with family and friends.
The event also presents opportunities to access parts of the stadium that are normally off limits, including the player change rooms and the cricket viewing rooms.
Highlights of the day include:
• The opportunity for guests to relive their favourite sporting moments on the turf of the MCG with kick-to-kick with family and friends.
• Exploring the inner sanctum of the MCG, including the player change rooms and cricket viewing rooms.
• Visits to the National Sports Museum (cost $5).
• Photo opportunities on the AFL premiership dais with the 2014 replica Premiership cup (cost $10).
• Roving entertainment and activities.
