20 metre high giant swing unveiled at the Tallebudgera Active Recreation Centre

A new 20 metre high giant swing is an exciting addition to the Tallebudgera Active Recreation Centre, after being officially opened by Queensland Sport and Recreation Minister Steve Dickson.

Minister Dickson said the impressive piece of infrastructure was an added drawcard for the many school camps and other visitors who enjoyed coming to the busy Gold Coast recreation facility.

He explained "this swing, as with a number of activities at the Centre, is not only an exhilarating experience for the rider, it has other benefits such as encouraging personal development, participation and fun, as well as fostering communication, team work and leadership skills.

"I have no doubt it will bring much joy and excitement for all participants, young and a little older."

An $800,000 climbing wall featuring a dual belay option harness system to cater for all ages and climbing assisted situations was completed at the Centre in November last year.
