WhiteWater scores trio of awards at industry events
Global waterpark and attractions company WhiteWater won two prestigious awards at the recent annual World Waterpark Association (WWA) conference, recently held in West Palm Beach, Florida.
WWA' 2013 Leading Edge Award was given to WhiteWater for the Family Boomerango and Manta combination sensation now open at Japan's Nagashima Resort.
The award is presented to park and supplier members who, through their combined efforts, have brought a project, product, service or program to fruition, thereby creating industry innovation and leadership.
In addition, WhiteWater won 'Best of Show' for its booth at the WWA trade exhibition.
In receiving the Leading Edge award, WhiteWater President and Chief Executive Geoff Chutter recognised Nagashima Resort and Kuritaz Water Industries Ltd. as visionaries in their collaboration to develop this groundbreaking world's first.
Chutter explained "wWe are beyond thrilled with the success of this project for Nagashima Resort and proud of our continuing relationship.
"And as WhiteWater stands for innovation in everything we do, winning 'Best of Show' for our booth at WWA is super gratifying."
In addition, WhiteWater was recognised at the European Attractions Show in Paris where its Family Rattlerat Aqua-Lazika, Anakila City Resort in Georgia, earned the European Star Award as 'Europe's Best Waterslide'.
The award, presented by industry trade publication Kirmes & Park Revue is determined by an international and independent trade jury, recognises the most remarkable attractions in Europe, bringing attention to entrepreneurial courage and innovations.
