1,800 take part in the world’s largest BODYCOMBAT class

More than 1,800 people have taken part in the world’s largest ever Les Mills BODYCOMBAT™ class at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

The record breaking 90-minute cardiovascular workout, held on 1st June, was organised by ScoreFitMob to promote a healthy lifestyle.

Score FitMob Chief Executive officer James Tan Ngee Choong said it was the first event of its kind to make its way into the Malaysia Book Of Records.

Tan said the event was held with the aim of encouraging the public to practice a healthy lifestyle and make fitness activity a fun and interactive workout, stating “we are very happy with the turnout.

"According to the Malaysia Book Of Records, we need a minimum of 1,500 members. However, today about 1,820 participants took part in the workout.

"We hope to have this event as an annual affair and, perhaps, we can raise funds for non-governmental organisations.”

As a result of the record-breaking calls, over RM14,000 (US$4,350) has been donated to National Cancer Council Malaysia to conduct research and help patients to pay for treatment.

Tan now aims to hold a similar event, Score FitMob Zumba, in November

Les Mills BODYCOMBAT™ is an empowering and energetic group fitness cardio workout inspired by mixed martial arts that mixes a wide array of disciplines such as karate, boxing, taekwondo, tai chi and muay thai backed by driving music and powerful role model instructors.
