YMCA of Sydney implements fitness tracking system to engage members

YMCA of Sydney has announced the implementation of the popular MobileFit fitness tracking system at the Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre and the Cook + Phillip Park Aquatic and Fitness Centre.
Widely used throughout the YMCA in Australia with over 20 sites already operating the system, MobileFit's innovative technology incorporates touch screen kiosks and smart phones is also used in a range of other facilities including local government, private health clubs and universities.
MobileFit allows health clubs to enhance the way they orientate and support new members by digitising common processes such as evaluating member health and wellbeing, fitness testing, creating exercise programs, tracking member progression and member follow up.
Mobile Fit's Smart Phone application has proved to be very popular with members as they can instantly access their personalised exercise program and enter their workout results in real time as they complete their workout.
Ian Thorpe Aquatic Centre Health and Fitness Coordinator Rob Griffiths explains "MobileFit has been on our radar for a long time now so it's exciting to finally have the system in place.
"We feel the system will really strengthen key areas of our health club such as exercise prescription, staff accountability and follow up."
MobileFit technology is suitable for medium to large size health clubs who wish to engage more members, improve retention rates and eliminate excessive paper filing of member exercise programs.
