Workforce Development Plan for WA Creative and Leisure Industries
FutureNow, Western Australia's (Creative and Leisure Industries Training Council) is currently compiling research and information for Workforce Development Planning for the creative and leisure industries in Western Australia.
This information will be submitted to the WA Department of Training and Workforce Development to make recommendations to WA Government about the future skills needs of these industries, and the relevant funding and training programs required to ensure these needs are met in the immediate, medium and long term.
Working documents outlining some of the barriers to employment and training in the creative and leisure (defined as Tourism, Hospitality and Events; Sport, Recreation and Racing; and Creative Industries) can be viewed via the FutureNow website.
FutureNow is seeking feedback from industry operators so we can work to develop strategies and solutions for industry issues and to ensure the industry gets the best chance to address skills needs with the support of the WA Government.
